What you will do

ABOUT OUR WORKSHOP FORMAT

Our day begins with optional pre-breakfast morning movement, through simple yoga postures and pranayama breathing to open and ‘tune’ the mind and body as an instrument.

Mornings after breakfast begin as a full group, with an embodiment meditation and some basic orientation points for entering the day as both a shared and personal journey.

Korel will then work with the group to access and animate our vocal capacities and range.

Afternoons will be spent in ‘workshop’ mode, practicing with our vocal expressions in small working groups, with Korel’s oversight and feedback.  We will begin working on a few songs that we will sing together.

Evenings will be spent in a communal sharing atmosphere, turning the Sanctuary room into a theatre where opportunities will be given to sing, both individually and harmonically, with and to the group.

SLEEPING ACCOMMODATIONS

ABOUT OUR LODGING

Our sleeping accommodations are mostly shared rooms.  They are clean and comfortable, and set up in the spirit of community.

You may share a room with a friend you know, or make a new friend.

Every room has a beautiful view of the mountains or forests, part of the 95 acres of land that surround Lifebridge Sanctuary.

Dining

ABOUT OUR MEALS

Our menus are locally sourced, thoughtfully selected, and enthusiastically prepared on-site by our personal chef, Robby Lawrence.  He will gladly accommodate any dietary restrictions you may have. (with notification 2 weeks before the workshop) https://forms.gle/AWtNSMy2AUQHLsgKA

All participants will assist, on a rotational basis, in meal set-ups and clean-ups as needed, and help to keep the kitchen and dining spaces clean and in order.

Flow of the Day

ABOUT OUR TIME TOGETHER

Our days and evenings will be mostly spent together, as a newly forming musical ensemble and community, which includes sharing our meals together.

Late afternoons will be set aside for either time spent alone in reflection, rest, or hiking the trails – or in casual conversations with other music makers, in our library and living room area, or in one of our many small group spaces.

We will do our best to accommodate your desire for musical and communal engagement, with your need to restore yourself with quiet time.
